Fintech Events Worth Attending in Q1 2019

The end of the year is a few weeks away and the holidays’ craziness is already in the air, but there’s still some time to properly prepare your agenda to jumpstart the exciting new year ahead that is attending us! Here we compiled a list of fintech events you should consider attending in the first quarter of 2019.


Paris Fintech Forum

Date: January 29 – 30, 2019
Location: Paris, France

The Paris Fintech Forum is in its fourth edition after the big success of the previous years. In 2018 the event reached full capacity with 2,600 attendees and over 150 CEOs from fintech firms of all sizes that presented on stage in panels and interviews. The declared ambition of the organizers remains the same that was at the start: “be and stay the most exclusive digital finance & fintech event in Europe”. The lineup of speakers already announced for this year is truly impressive, with names that go from the International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, to the CEOs of some of the hottest fintech startups around, as well as some of the traditional financial institutions like BBVA, Ing Ventures, BpiFrance and leading VCs like Atomico and Balderton Capital. And this is just to name a few of the names of a very long list of top speakers.


London Blockchain Week 2019

Date: February 8 – 14, 2019
Location: London, UK

In 2019 it will be the 3rd Annual London Blockchain Week and the 5th year of the Blockchain London Conference. This year they promise to maintain their vision while including more content from their community, with over 3000 participants expected to take part in the events organized during the week, which include a conference/expo, with some of the hottest blockchain companies worldwide, plus multiple workshops and a blockchain hackathon.

Finovate Europe

Date: February 12 – 15, 2019
Location: London, UK

The European edition of the Finovate events that promise big numbers for this year, expecting more than 1400 attendees, over 65 firms demoing and more than 120 expert speakers from fintech firms and primary financial institutions. A Summit Day on Artificial Intelligence and Open Banking, a new venue, and an AI-powered meeting app are some of the news of this year’s edition.



Date: March 13 – 14, 2019
Location: Hong Kong

The largest digital asset event in Asia where the crypto ecosystem is explored looking at the global developments around the token industry and the related opportunities that are emerging. Speakers from some of the hottest crypto projects and the leading digital asset funds are expected to be seen on stage at this year edition in HK.



Date: March 18 – 19, 2019
Location: Frankfurt, Germany

International event clearly focused on DevOps and the challenges that financial institutions like banks and asset management firms are experiencing when it comes to adopting and scaling it at enterprise level. 100 software development experts and DevOps specialists from European financial services firms will present best practices and strategies at the third edition of this event in Frankfurt.

AltFi London Summit

Date: March 18, 2019
Location: London, UK

One of the oldest fintech and alternative finance conferences that promise to showcase just the best of the contemporary’s online lending, digital banking and digital wealth sectors, with Open Banking as a central theme of this year edition of the event.


Money 20/20 Asia

Date: March 19 – 21, 2019
Location: Singapore

Money20/20 Asia brings together executives from across the financial services ecosystem, ranging from alternative payments to wealth management, lending, and insurtech. The organizers expect to have over 300 top speakers and more than 3,500 attendees at the interactive content sessions, workshops and meetups planned for the next March in Singapore.
