Most likely you may have heard of the blog post series titled Meet the VIAINVEST Team, and just like in everything we do there is a person behind this series, one that has been asked to step aside for this blog post, so that we (her colleagues) can take the opportunity to introduce you to our ‘always ready’, attentive and tenacious PR and Marketing Communications Manager, Simona Lucatniece.
Simona is in fact fully responsible for all of VIA SMS Group brand and image building activities, developing and implementing effective communication and media relations programs. Simona is the first person to take up the PR mantle for VIA SMS Group and has come to save the day in times of impending crisis on many occasions. But enough PR, let’s find out what Simona has to say.
Why did you decide to join VIA SMS Group?
The decision to change the job was one that was approached with much thought, because already for some time I was ready for new challenges. The goal was not to just change the working environment, but to seriously challenge myself, so I thought I could combine seemingly incompatible things – PR and alternative finances. The first job interview and meeting with future colleagues convinced me that there was no limit to the ability to learn and, moreover, I was able to participate in the launch of VIAINVEST, which, looking back at from today’s perspective, seems to be a complete odyssey, because I had neither the experience nor the understanding of how alternative finances work. I am happy that I trusted my intuition and my new colleagues!
What do you like the most about your job?
I like the freedom to be creative, to have all these wonderful and innovative people around me and an opportunity to be a part of fintech magic! VIA SMS Group in many respects is a fantastic company that motivates, supports and provides all the necessary tools for personal development.
How do you find inspiration for new ideas and how do you spend your spare time after work?
I do not know if this is correct, but I keep thinking about work at home, of course, in the right sense! 🙂 I think that the emergence of ideas and inspiration is a whole process that never ends. At leisure, I’m happy to travel and spend time with my family. Yoga and reading is a good way to help arrange thoughts.
