In September 2024, VIAINVEST published €11,928,910 in loans, with €11,736,351 successfully funded. Investors received €400,994 in interest, with rates reaching up to 13%. The platform’s client base also grew, totaling 41,427 registrations.

Expanding security offerings from Latvian loan originator

We are expanding our flagship 13% annual interest offerings in Latvia, our largest loan originator. Securities backed by VIA SMS Latvia will now be available for 12 months at 13% and 6 months at 12%. Furthermore, the offer will be extended to securities with a 3-month maturity period and a 10% annual interest rate.

Complete repayment of the cession investments

We are pleased to announce the successful repayment of our cession investments, with all remaining investments in Latvian loans made under cession agreements fully repaid. Our entire consumer loan portfolio now consists exclusively of Asset-backed securities. Completing the transition is an important milestone for us, and it aligns with our commitment to providing reliable investment opportunities for our clients.

Amendments to the Investor Protection Law from the 1st of July

VIAINVEST is a member of the protection scheme, an important part of the additional safeguards the regulated environment provides our investors. The amendments to the Investor Protection Law, effective July 1, 2024, introduce several key changes to enhance investor protection. These include a new definition for joint investments, a cap on compensation at 20,000 EUR per investor regardless of the number of securities or investment accounts of the investor, and detailed compensation eligibility and payment procedures. The Bank of Latvia will oversee compliance, manage the investor protection system, and process compensation claims. Additionally, sanctions and administrative measures for non-compliance are clarified, and public information about applied sanctions will be available on the Bank’s website. These updates ensure a more secure and transparent investment environment in line with EU directives.
